Sadly, there is no shortage of children getting involved into the illegal activity regarding their parents, but that still doesn’t make it any less disturbing when you find out about a new occurrence. A Maryland father is learning a very serious lesson after he was arrested due to his young son bringing cocaine to school. As reported by @NBCNews, Benny Garcia from Massachusetts was arrested following the discovery that his 5-year-old son brought a bag of cocaine to Lawrence Elementary School in Holyoke, Massachusetts—which is about 90 minutes west of the Boston area. When the young boy showed the cocaine to his teacher, he said he puts the powder in his mouth and it makes him “feel like Spider-Man.” The bag containing the cocaine was stamped with images of the Spider-Man character. The boy’s teacher immediately notified the school’s principal and local police were promptly called. The boy was also taken to the hospital as a precaution to make sure that there were no drugs in his system despite the bag of cocaine being sealed. Meanwhile, Holyoke police arrived at the boy’s home and found Garcia asleep with 38 bags of cocaine and 70 bags of heroin. He also had an outstanding warrant for drugs, and as a result, is now facing additional charges.Police also found another small child in the home when they arrived to arrest Garcia—and both children are now in the custody of child services. Garcia’s first court date is set for November 20th, at which time a judge will decide if he will be released on bail or remain behind bars.Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
